PETER VASHAW

 

Peter Vashaw was born in 1848 in Canada. He married Josephine Huffmaster on February 16, 1874 in Wayne County, Michigan. Josephine was born in Michigan.

 

Peter's stepdaughters were:

  1. Rosella born 1869/1870 in Michigan.

  2. Ella born 1870/1871 in Michigan.

 

Peter was elected as the first Lakefield Township Clerk on April 3, 1876. Peter resigned as Lakefield Township Clerk on September 5, 1876,

 

In the 1880 Michigan Agricultural Census' show Peter owned 15 acres of tilled land, 65 acres of woodlawn and forest land in Lakefield Township.
