Jeremiah G. Polhemus

JEREMIAH G. AND CHARLOTTE "LOTTIE" ALMINA PHELPS POLHEMUS

Jeremiah G Polhemus was born on 28 September 1851 in Michigan; his parents were Daniel and Elizabeth Miller Polhemus. Jeremiah married Charlotte “Lottie” A. Phelps in 1885 at Foster, Ogemaw County, Michigan. Lottie was born in 1858 in Michigan and her parents were Henry .C. And Maria J. Johnson Phelps.

 

In 1870, Jeremiah lived in the town of Groveland, Oakland County, Michigan and is a farm laborer.

 

By 1880, according to the Michigan Agriculture Census; Jeremiah owned 2 acres of tilled land and 38 acres of woodland and forests in Lakefield Township and he was a farmer.

 

Daniel died on 16/18 June 1886 in West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan. His wife, Lottie was pregnant at the time and gave birth to their daughter Eliza S. Polhemus on 18 July 1886 in West Branch Township. At the time of Daniels death he was a painter and he died of a Intermittent Fever.

 

Jeremiah is buried in the Brookside Cemetery, West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan.
