William Frost

WILLIAM JOSHUA AND PHEBE BOLSTER FROST

 

William Joshua Frost was born September 25, 1861 in Pennsylvania and was the son of Joshua and Mary Procious/Brosius Frost. William married Phebe Bolster on July 22, 1882 in Hemlock, Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Phebe was born March 15, 1868 and died August 13, 1897 leaving William a young widower. Phebe's cause of death was due to childbirth and she is buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.

 

William and Phebe had the following children:

  1. Alice Amanda Frost was born April 7, 1884 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Alice married James Russell.

  2. Lillie May Frost was born January 8, 1886 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Lillie married William Bolt. Lillie died on August 14, 1943 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. She is buried in the Richland Township Cemetery, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  3. Charles Edward Frost was born September 29, 1888 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Charles married Clara Anna Rogers on February 27, 1909. Charles died on June 2, 1954 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Charles is buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.

  4. Sarah Elizabeth Frost (twin) was born on March 27, 1891. Sarah married a man named Warner. She died on July 30, 1917 in Sheridan Township, Clare County, Michigan.

  5. Mary Melissa Frost (twin) was born March 27, 1891.

  6. Clara Evangeline Frost was born March 19, 1893 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Clara married Leon/Ora Hale. Clara died January 13, 1979 in Beaverton, Gladwin County, Michigan.

  7. Hugh A. Frost was born September 22, 1895 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Hugh married Minnie Bartig. Hugh died on June 18, 1981 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan and is buried in the Richland Township Cemetery, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  8. Martha A. Frost was born August 4, 1897 and died 14 days later.

 

In June of 1900, William J. Frost's  mother, Mary Frost,  is living with him and his children in Lakefield Township.

 

William also married Cora A. Orvis Dockett on December 3, 1900 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

William and Cora had a son,  Darwin J. Frost.

 

Also, in 1900,  William lived in Section 3 of Lakefield Township on Ederer Rd. between S. Merrill and Fenmore Roads. William's neighbors were Frank Frost, Sara Price, Colin McDonald, Sepilian Method, Jesse Baker and Edward Vondette.

 

William Joshua Frost died on February 17, 1930 in Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  William Joshua Frost is buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.
