               JOSEPH AND PHILIS MARGUERITE BOW BARTELS

 

 

 

Philis was born January 14, 1903 at her parent's family farm in Lakefield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Orin and Louisa Rosewig Bow. Philis was six years old when her mother, Louisa, passed away. After her mother died, Philis lived with the neighbors, Charles and Olga Wenzel Glinke. Philis went to the Parker School located at the corner of Lakefield and Fenmore Roads.

 

 

Philis married Joseph Bartels September 10, 1924; he was the son of Henry and Freida Bartels.

 

Philis and Joseph did not have children. Philis died June 6, 1943 and is buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.
