WILLIAM WALTER AND JENNIE MARY SKLAPSKY MILLER SR.
William Walter Miller was born September 26, 1870 in Canada to George and Mary Miller. William came to Lakefield Township in 1878 from Canada. He married Jennie Sklapsky on July 27, 1896 in Lakefield Township. Jenny was born November 6, 1878 to Joseph and Mary Ann Novak Sklapsky.
William and Jennie's children were:
Ada Mary Miller was born November 18, 1896. Ada married Roy Tolfree.
Arthur Dewey Miller was born May 10, 1898. Arthur married Clara Hodgins
William Walter Miller Jr. was born February 15, 1901. William married Bessie Swarthout.
Roy Edgar was born September 30, 1902. Roy married Gladys Swarthout.
Clarence Joseph Miller was born September 12, 1904. Clarence married Alta Glinke.
Leonard George Miller was born July 21, 1906. Leonard married Bertha Glinke.
Bernice Aleala Miller was born January 4, 1908. Bernice married Basil Mayer.
Melvin Edward Miller was born December 10, 1909. Melvin married Arlene Hodges.
Joseph Frederick Miller was born July 26, 1912. Joseph married Leola Hartung.
Earl Martin Miller was born January 1, 1915. Earl married Catherine M. Thom
Ernest Francis Miller was born October 17, 1916. Ernest married Mary Kissane. Ernest died April 16, 1947 in Jerome Township, Midland County, Michigan.
In 1916, William and Jennie owned and operated 60 acres in Section 13 on the east side Chapin Road between Lakefield and Roosevelt Roads. Their neighbors were: Jay Schoonmaker, John Briggs, Scott Liebrock, George Miller, Joseph Webb, Thomas J. Sly, Frank Levi, J.A. Beckley, Dan H. McLeod and Nicholas House.
Jennie died on January 9, 1917 and William died on November 30, 1954. They are both buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.
