FRANK HRUBY

FRANK AND ETHEL A. GILBRIDE HRUBY

 

Frank Hruby was born on May 16, 1871 in Czechoslovakia. His parents were Josepf and Mary Swashek Hruby. Frank married Ethel A. Gilbride on June 9, 1913 at St. Andrew's Church, Saginaw, Michigan by H.P. Mans. Witnesses to their marriage were Joe Brandorn and Eli Gilbride. Ethel was born November 12, 1993 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Her parents were Bernard and Elizabeth Gilbride.

 

In 1916 and 1920, Frank owned and operated an 80 acre farm in Section 23 on Merrill Road between Lakefield and Nelson Roads.

 

In 1916, Frank's neighbors were Joe Shebester, William Elson, John Novak, Ishmael Davis, David Badgero and Wilson House.

 

Frank had other occupations in his lifetime. They were a liquor salesman and a restaurant owner, the restaurant was located at 1416 Genessee Avenue in Saginaw, Michigan. He had owned the restaurant for 30 years.

 

Frank died on February 23, 1941 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Ethel died on October 7, 1977 in Saginaw, Michigan. They are both buried in the Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.
