MARTIN AND MARY “ANN” VIKEL SUBER/ZUBER

 

Martin Suber was born in January 1833 and Mary Anna Vikel Suber was born in January 1835; they were both born in Austria. They were married coming to the United States in 1867. They first lived in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois; and then moved to Calmar, Winnesheith, Iowa. Around 1885, they finally settled on an 80 acre farm in Section 4 on Meridian Road between Ederer and Swan Creek Roads in Lakefield Township.

 

Martin and Ann had the following children:

  1. Joseph Suber was born on May 16, 1871 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He married Olive M. Eastman, daughter of Eli and Francis Gotts Eastman. Olive died on August 9, 1911 at the age of 29 years 10 months and 25 days old of T.B.

  2. Mary A. Suber was born on July 4, 1874 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. She married Charles E. Conklin on December 30, 1896 in Ithaca, Gratiot County, Michigan.

 

Ann died on February 12, 1905 and Martin on December 28, 1910 in Wheeler Township, Gratiot County, Michigan. They are both buried in the Lakefield Township Cemetery.
