Abraham and Sarah Lehman

 

Abraham was born in 1855 in New York, his parents were Daniel and Elizabeth Everheart Lehman. Abraham moved to Sherkston, Welland County, Ontario, Canada; where he met and married Sarah Sherk on December 23, 1877. Sarah was born December 14, 1858; her parents were Abraham and Elizabeth Storm Sherk. Abraham and Sarah moved to Flint, Genesee County, Michigan, where his parents lived. From  Flint, Abraham and Sarah moved to Crow Island, Saginaw County, Michigan; which was located across the Saginaw River from what we now know as Zilwaukee, Michigan. They moved to Lakefield sometime before 1903.

In 1916, Abraham and Sarah owned and operated a 40 acres farm in Section 22 on the east side of Fenmore Road between Nelson and Grabowski Roads. They had two children: Ada who married Frank Herbage of Lakefield Township and Ervin Lehman

 

Abraham died on May 9, 1926 and Sarah on January 30, 1925. They are both buried in Lakefield Township Cemetery.
