Charles Zarbock

 

 

CHARLES G. J. “CARL” AND AUGUSTA “GUSTIE” LIEDEKE ZARBOCK

 

Charles G.J. “Carl” Zarbock was born July 25, 1867 in Germany to William and Anna Berg Zarbock. He came to the U.S. in 1892. Carl married Augusta “Gustie” Liedeke in 1893. Gustie was born in August 21, 1872 in Germany to Carl and Caroline Kudky Liedeke.

 

Carl and Gustie had the following children:

  1. Maria Zarbock was born February 5, 1894 Lakefield Township and died February 17, 1894 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. She was 12 days old when she died of inflammation to the bowels

  2. Paul Zarbock was born May 6, 1895 in Lakefield Township and died on May 21, 1895 in Lakefield Township. He was 15 days old when he died.

  3. Charles J. Zarbock was born August 27, 1896 in Lakefield Township. He married Antoinette Petzold on October 19, 1916 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.

  4. Male Zarbock was born in 1898 and died September 22, 1898.

  5. Otto Zarbock was born July 24, 1899/1901 in Lakefield Township.

  6. George Zarbock was born in 1902.

  7. Lena M. Zarbock was born in 1904

  8. Anna B. Zarbock was born in 1906.

 

In 1896, Carl and Gustie owned and operated a 40 acre farm in Section 10 on the SW corner of Merrill and Swan Creek Roads.

 

By 1910, Carl and his family are living in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.
