Siplian Method

SIPLIAN (CYPRIAN) “TIP” AND ADELAIDE  ORELIALAGROW/LEGROUX METHOD

 

Siplian Method was born 22/23 January 1835 in Quebec, Canada.  His parents were Charles and Francoise Marier (Methot) Method. Siplian married Adelaide Lagrow in Canada. Adelaide was born 4 December 1835 in Quebec, Canada. Her parents were Joseph and Polly LaCount LaGrow/LeGroux. Siplian and his family immigrated to the United States in 1861.

 

Siplian and Adelaide had the following children: (The 1900 census states Adelaide had 15 children with 11 living at that time)

  1. Mary Pauline Method was born 4 December 1857 in Quebec, Canada. She married Thomas Trahan. Mary died 7 January 1927 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  2. Ida Mary Method was born April 1861 in Quebec, Canada. She married Joseph Dennis Jr. 4 July 1884. Ida died 1 January 1940 in Eastport, Antrim County, Michigan.

  3. Charles Method was born in 1863 in Clayton, Jefferson County, New York. He died on 6 December 1900 and is buried at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  4. Oscar Method was born in 1865 in New York. He married Josie Stocking on 22 May 1907 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Oscar died on 4 July 1912 and is buried at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  5. Cyprian Method

  6. Victor R. Method was born June 1868 Canada. He married Anna Dushman 1 January 1890 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Victor died on 25 October 1943 and is buried in Duluth, Minnesota.

  7. George Method was born July 1870 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He died in November 1912 in Saskatchewan, Canada due to a milling accident. George is buried in Duluth, Minnesota.

  8. Joseph Method was born December 1872. He married Anna Loretta Feehely. He died on 21 December 1950 in Marion County, Indiana and is buried at the Calvary Cemetery, Marion County, Indiana.

  9. Medor “Meddie” Joseph Method was born 9 August 1875 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He married Margueritte V. Munroe/Monroe on 8 September 1897. He died on 21 October 1961 and is buried at the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  10. Mictel Method

  11. Delia Method was born 28 December 1878. She married Alex Vondette III on 1 January 1897 at the Sacred Heart Church, Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Delia died on the 19 October 1902 in Lakefield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  12. Richard Method was born 16 December 1880/1881 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He married Clara A. Shannon on 15 January 1907 at Sacred Heart Church, Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  13. Oloc “Orie” Method was born 4 March 1882.

  14. Albert John Method was born 4 March 1883 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He died on 23 September 1941 in Ithaca, Gratiot County, Michigan.

In 1896, the Method's owned and operated 73.79 acres on the NE corner of Section 3 at the intersection of Merrill and Ederer Roads.  Their property,  was eventually known in Merrill, Michigan as Method's Corner.

 

Adelaide died on 21 April 1907 and Siplian 29 June 1927. They are both buried in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Lakefield Township.
