Luther Pratt

LUTHER J. AND FRANCIS ESTHER BRUNO PRATT

 

Luther J. “L.J.” Pratt was born January 1853 in Chautauqua, New York. His parents were George W. and Charlotte Kick Pratt. He married Francis Esther Bruno in 1873. She was born May 1853 in Ohio. Her parents were Anthony and ​ Wilcox Bruno.

Luther and Francis had four children:

  1. Willis H. “Willie” Pratt was born on 16 April 1874 in Genessee County. He married Amelia Pratt. They were renting a home in Lakefield Township in 1900.

  2. Elmer Pratt was born 1879 or 1880.

In 1910, Luther and Francis owned and operated 80 acres in Section 12 on SW corner of Chapin and Roosevelt Roads. Their neighbors were: Patrick Burns, Thomas Genack, Dan H. McLeod, Jay Schoonmaker, John Briggs, John Liebrock, Lewis Liebrock.

 

Francis died on 24 April 1916 in Lakefield Township. She is buried at West Haven Cemetery, New Haven, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

 

Luther married Catherine Dick on 7 December 1918 in Owosso, Shiawassee County, Michigan.  By 1920 Luther and Catherine were living in Owosso, Shiawassee County, Michigan .
