JOHN ZAZO

 

JOHN AND SUSIE MAURIC/MARUCIK/MARUSIK ZAZO

 

John Zazo was born May 13, 1883 in Verbv., Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic. He married Susie Mauric/Marucik/Marusik. Susie was born March 27, 1895 in Czechoslovakia. John and Susie came to the United States in 1913.

 

John and Susie had the following children:

 

  1. Anna Margaret Zazo was born on October 31, 1919 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. She married Robert Daniel Mahoney on January 27, 1945 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Anna died on June 4, 1993 in St. Charles, Saginaw County, Michigan. She is buried in the St. Mary Cemetery, St. Charles, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  2. Mary Evelyn Zazo was born June 1, 1922 in Lakefield Township. She married William F. Langley on June 6, 1949 in Steubenville County, Indiana. Mary died on January 1, 2004. She is buried in All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Sanford, Seminole County, Florida.

  3. Helen Zazo was born in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan.. Helen married Elton J. Schoonmaker on October 30, 1948 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  4. Katherine “Katie” Agness Zazo was born May 7, 1926 in Lakefield Township and died July 5, 1927 and is buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township.

  5. John Zazo Jr. was born June 21, 1928 in Merrill, Saginaw, County, Michigan.. He married Shirley Krueger on October 9, 1970. John died on July 21, 2006 and is buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  6. Joseph Zazo

  7. Anthony F. Zazo was born February 17, 1933 in Lakefield Township. He married Eva M. Meyer. Anthony died on March 10, 1985 and is buried in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

     

 

In 1920, John and Susie owned and operated a 40 acres farm in Section 4 on Meredian Road between Ederer and Swan Creek Roads of Lakefield Township. Their neighbors were A. Francetic, J. Leonard, L. Francetic. Mrs. M. Conklin, C. Conklin, G. Trudgeon, and F. Gotts. John and Susie's children went to the Byrnes School which was located on Swan Creek and Fenmore Roads.

 

John died in February 1955 in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida. Susie died on December 29, 1982. They are both buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township.
