Albert Easlick

ALBERT AND ELIZABETH ANSCHUTZ EASLICK

Albert Easlick was born May 1854 in Ohio. His parents were David and Caroline Mueller Easlick.  Albert married Elizabeth Anschutz in 1875/76. Elizabeth was born 2 March 1858 in Ohio. Her parents were Christian and Louise Anschutz.

 

Albert and Elizabeth had the following children:

  1. Baby Girl Easlick born and died on 29 October 1876 in Lafayette Township, Gratiot County, Michigan. She was stillborn.

  2. Ervin Easlick was born 25 February 1878 in Lafayette Township, Gratiot County, Michigan. He married Anna Fetner Mangold on 1 October 1902. Ervin died on 7 May 1952 and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  3. Dora Easlick was born 13 October 1881 in Lakefield Township. She married Michael Mayer in April 1901.  Dora died on 12 April 1954 in Merrill, Michigan; she is buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  4. Benjamin was born 15 April 1885 in Lakefield Township. He married Elizabeth Peters on 14 August 1907 in Rathbone, Gratiot County, Michigan.

  5. Twin - Philip (Phil) Easlick was born on 18 September 1892 in Lakefield Township. He married Myrtle May Peet. Phil died on 25 December 1944 in Wayne County, Michigan.

  6. Twin – William H. (Will) Easlick was born on 19 May 1892 in Lakefield Township. He married Grace M. Knights on 29 January 1913 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Will died on 19 May 1918 in Clare County, Michigan.

 

Albert Easlick was elected to the following Lakefield Township offices:

  1. Elected Constable on 4 April 1881.

  2. Elected Highway Commissioner on 6 April 1885.

  3. Elected to the Board of Review for 2 years on 2 April 1894

  4. Elected to Overseer of Highways Road District #2 on 1 April 1895

 

In 1896, Albert and Elizabeth owned and operated 75.31 acres in Lakefield Township in Section 16 on Meridian Road between Roosevelt and Lakefield Roads. Their neighbors were: Charles Eggebrecht, James Clark, Ed Kissane, Jacob Lauer, Tom Gulick, George Hockey and Frank Glinke.

 

Albert and Elizabeth lived in Lakefield Township for about 20 years and by 1900 they were  living in Lafayette County, Gratiot County, Michigan.

 

Albert died on 14 September 1916 and Elizabeth on 15 November 1929. They are both buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
