Richard Joseph Method was born 16 December 1880/1881 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. His parents were Seplian (Cyprian) and Adelaide Method. He moved to Lakefield Township with his parents when he was 13 years old around the year of 1893. Richard married Clara A. Shannon on 15 January 1907 at the Sacred Heart Church, Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Clara was born on 14 July 1886 in Merrill, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Richard's  parents were Siplian (Cyprian) and Adelaide Method. He moved to Lakefield Township with his parents when he was 13 years old around the year of 1893. Richard married Clara A. Shannon on 15 January 1907 at the Sacred Heart Church, Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Clara was born on 14 July 1886 in Merrill, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Her parents were John Robert and Mary Keenan Shannon.

Richard and Clara's children were:

1. Mary Clare Method born 5 January 1909. She married Allen Hiser. Mary died on 19 September 1996 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township.

2. Annette Method born and died 16 May 1910.

3. Twin - Joseph Martin born 23 October 1911 in Lakefield Township. He married Martha Grabowski on 14 October 1938. Joseph died on 2 March 1983 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan and is buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township.

4. Twin – Josephine S. Method born 23 October 1911 in Lakefield Township. She died 29 January 1942 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township.

5. Anna Louise Method was born 29 January 1916 and died on 17 March 1928 in Alma,                                                                            Gratiot County, Michigan. Anna is buried in                                                                        Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield                                                                                      Township.

Richard and Clara lived in Lakefield Township their entire married life. Richard was the Sexton of Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakefield Township and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and its Holy Name Society.

Richard died on 24 January 1956 in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Clara died on 23 September 1965. They are both buried in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Lakefield Cemetery.
