FREDERICK AND GRACE PENNY COTY JR.

 

 

 

 

Frederick “Fred” Coty Jr. was born on March 17, 1889 in Lakefield Township to Frederick and Maria McConnell Coty.  

Grace Penny Coty

 

 

 

 

Fred married Grace Penny on December 7, 1917 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Grace was born on November 7, 1900 in Bradford, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio to David and Flora Wellbaum Penny.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fred and Grace had the following children:

  1. Frieda G.E. Coty was born September 9, 1918 in Lakefield Township. Frieda married Audrey Goward. She died on December 29, 1999. Frieda and Audrey are both buried in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  2. Gilbert Carl Coty was born January 25, 1921 in Lakefield Township. Gilbert married Francis Sampson. Gilbert died on November 24, 1970.

  3. Arleta Mae Coty was born on July 31, 1923 in Lakefield Township. Arleta was married to Albert Pontseele. Arleta died on January 24, 2009.

  4. Kenneth Ray “Ken” Coty was born January 7, 1928 in Lakefield Township. Ken married Bonnie Jean Smythe. Ken died on September 1, 2001.

 

Fred and Grace Coty lived in Lakefield Township from 1917 until sometime in the 1930's; they moved to Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

Fred died September 18, 1950 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. Grace died on December 10, 1985 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. They are both buried in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
