JAMES A. CONDON

JAMES A. AND ISABELLE S. “BELLE” ADAMS CONDON

 

James A. Condon was born in August 1857 in Ohio. His parents were Levi and Martha Jane Watson Condon. James married Isabelle S. “Belle” Adams. Her father was Sam Adams.

 

James and Belle had the following children:

  1. Artie Condon was born November 1891 in Ohio. Artie married Hazel Dungey.

  2. Rollay Adams Condon was born 5 May 1893 in Sandusky, Ohio. Rollay married Thelma Tester.

 

Before moving to Lakefield Township,  James and Belle lived in Emerson Township, Gratiot County, Michigan and Fremont Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

By 1916, James and Belle owned and operated an 80 acre farm in Section 10 on Roosevelt Road between Merrill and Fenmore Roads in Lakefield Township.

 

James and Belle's neighbors were: George Rigg; Richard Welke; Joseph Street; Henry Cooper; Lafayette Rigg; William Sandhoff; George Trudgeon.

 

James died in 1927 and Belle died in 1923. They are both buried in Lakefield Township Cemetery.
