David and Sarah Mack Dubay

David A. Dubay was born on March 15, 1863 in Detroit, Michigan. His parents were David A. and Angeline Jacques Dubay Sr. David married Sarah Mack on May 10, 1886 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Sarah was born on December 18,   1868 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

 

David and Sarah had the following children:

  1. Katie A. (Cathryn) Dubay was born June 24, 1887 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. Cathryn died on December 6, 1971 in Bridgeport, Saginaw County, Michigan and buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  2. Florence Louise Dubay was born March 4, 1889 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan and married Murray L. Hendrick on June 13, 1906 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Mr. Hendricks was a photographer. Murray died on February 25, 1938 in Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan. Florence died on April 4, 1960 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  They are both buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  3. Lawrence Andrew Dubay was born February 18, 1891 and died on February 8, 1920 in Lakefield Township of pneumonia.

  4. Blanche Ida Dubay was born 1893 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. She married William Otto Goschka on November 21, 1912 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan.  William died on June 26, 1945.  Blanche then married James Kenneth Murray on August 20, 1946 in Indiana.  James died on Deacember 3, 1970 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan and Blanche died on October 22, 1971 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  James and Blanche are both buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning, Saginaw County, Michigan.

  5. Harry D. Dubay was born on December 31, 1896 or January 1, 1897 in Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. He married Dora Volkman. Harry died on June 28, 1975 and is buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  6. Nelson C. Dubay was born February 23, 1899. He married Bertha Gibson. Nelson died on October 24, 1927 and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  7. Eva. M. Dubay was born January 10, 1902 in Fremont, Saginaw County, Michigan. She married Charles Oliver. Eva died on January 18, 1985 in Tennessee.

  8. Margarite “Retia” Dubay was born April 5, 1904 in Lakefield Township. She married Glenn Easlick. Retia died on August 8, 1949 and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  9. Leah M. Dubay was born in May 11, 1906 in Lakefield Township. She married Andrew Robertson on June 3, 1924. Leah died on September 11, 2004 and is buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  10. Marvin L. Dubay was born on November 27, 1907. He married Gladys Cole. Marvin died on January 21, 1965 and is buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

  11. Murray “Pete” Ernest Dubay was born February 16, 1912 in Lakefield Township. He married Eugenia Young. Pete died on November 4, 1993 in Hampton, Bay County, Michigan. He is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

The following four photos are of the Dubay children:  The first photo is Marvin Dubay, the 2nd photo is Leah Dubay, the 3rd photo is Margarite "Retia" Dubay and the last photo is Eva Dubay.  

In 1910, David owned and operated an 80 acre farm in Section 33 on Grabowski Road between Fenmore and Meridian Roads and also owned 40 acres on the corner of Fenmore and Grabowski Roads. His neighbors were: George Green, John Honaman, Thomas Gulick, Alvah Hinterman, Abraham Lehman, and Jacob Brown.

 

David died on June 28, 1937 and Sarah on February 23, 1952 and they are buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
